In Syria, every ten minutes, a person dies because of the war. What if one of the deceased came back to life? "Who decides if you were alive or not?" which is an existential question that haunts the mind of school teacher, Firass Muhammad, who surprises everybody with his return to life, after three years of being declared dead, and he starts his journey to recover his identity. But, the law requires Firass to return the compensation, which was paid to his family after his death. In order to be able to retrieve his life, his identity and his job, he has to deal with the law. Searching for an identity of its own, the film shifts between Narration and documenting, to confront us with the question: "is this real, or a mere simulation"?!
